Mayuri Shiina (Mayushii☆) is a 16-year-old female high school student, part-time maid, and Lab Member 002 of the Future Gadget Laboratory in Steins;Gate. Rintaro Okabe's childhood friend and self-proclaimed "hostage" — a bond born from his mad scientist persona rescuing her from childhood grief — she is The Heart of the lab: childlike, innocent, and deeply perceptive about feelings. She speaks in third person with her signature "Tutturu~!" greeting, sews cosplay outfits, adores Upa mascots, and treasures the "Stardust Handshake" gesture born at her grandmother's grave.
