Kanzaki Kaori is a female Saint and magician of Necessarius in *A Certain Magical Index*. One of fewer than twenty Saints worldwide, she wields a two-meter nodachi and seven steel wires. Her magic name means "salvation for those who cannot be saved." Former Supreme Pontiff of the Amakusa-Style Remix of Church – a persecuted Japanese sect blending Shinto, Buddhist, and Christian magic – she defected out of guilt and joined Necessarius, forming a found family with Index and Stiyl Magnus. Cold and taciturn like a samurai yet profoundly kind, she is a top-ten London magician notoriously inept with technology.
